A Tale Depicted in Melancholy Lake
“Look at what I’ve done! These artworks were created a couple of years ago when I was in Jogja. Initially, it was just a sketch depicting a man attempting to save his paramour in the middle of a lake. I used a mechanical pencil and left it without color. At that time, my focus was interrupted… Oh, wait a minute! I need to use the bathroom.
Alright, I’m back now. Well, my return doesn’t quite compare to Arnold’s. Anyway, I’m still dealing with stomach problems that persistently ruin my wonderful mood. Let’s get back to discussing my artwork. Today, I was curious to explore Ralph Steadman’s artistic style as seen in the film ‘For No Good Reason’ from 2012. I decided to add some watercolor to my sketch and voila, something remarkable happened.
Yes, it changed! I’ve created a new captivating image. I experimented with various colors and achieved a harmonious composition, resulting in a completely new artwork. It’s quite nice, isn’t it? Now, all that’s left to do is to frame it and give it the finishing touch. I’ve decided to title it ‘HERE I AM.’

As fate would have it, the man witnesses the harrowing incident unfold before his eyes. Without a moment's hesitation, he springs into action, propelled by an overwhelming desire to save his beloved. With every ounce of strength and courage, he plunges into the lake, defying the dangers that lie beneath.
Battling against the murky waters, the man fights his way towards the struggling woman, his heart pounding with a mix of fear and determination. With a final surge of energy, he reaches her, extending his arms to pull her from the clutches of the crocodile demon's realm. In a testament to his unwavering love, he emerges triumphant, cradling her fragile form in his protective embrace.
As they stand on the shores of Melancholy Lake, the man whispers tenderly to his beloved, assuring her of his presence and unwavering devotion. His touch is gentle, caressing her beautiful hair, while his words carry the weight of their shared experience and newfound appreciation for life. Together, they emerge from the ordeal, forever changed by the gravity of their encounter.
