A CONVERSATION

In the past few days, I have engaged in numerous conversations about art through YouTube podcasts. These discussions revolved around visual art and featured insights from professional artists around the world. It has ignited a spark within me, as it has been quite some time since I last dedicated myself to manual drawing. Many of my sketchbooks are already filled to the brim, and lately, my focus has been primarily on work-related projects. However, I do own a fairly large sketchbook that I purchased a few years ago, which has unfortunately gathered dust as I have neglected it.
Today, being my day off from work, I decided to seize the opportunity and revisit the contents of that old folder on my external hard disk. It contained a collection of unfinished and rough sketch files that I had yet to upload. I took it upon myself to breathe new life into some of these forgotten works by digitally retouching them using design software. However, it took me a considerable amount of time to get into the right mood and generate fresh ideas. Initially, I experimented with creating a collage of my artwork, but the results did not captivate me as I had already explored that avenue in the past.
Eventually, I decided to venture into the realm of color retouching, drawing inspiration from digital artists who specialize in portraiture. I revisited an artwork—an intricately detailed pencil portrait—that I had scanned a while ago. After several hours of trial and error, I managed to achieve satisfactory results, at least for the time being.
And so, here it is, the culmination of this creative journey—a visual representation of our ‘conversation.’
